In today’s game against the Mavericks, Jeremy Lin played 46 minutes, eight more minutes than any other player on either team. On the Knicks, Tyson Chandler played the second-most minutes, 35. The three other point guards on the roster, Mike Bibby, Toney Douglas, and Baron Davis did not play at all. During the time that Lin was on the bench, Iman Shumpert played point, again demonstrating it’s not a position he can play.

If Lin continues to play so many minutes, he’s going to get worn day before the season even ends. Is D’Antoni that desperate to win? That’s one reason I’m hoping that this is his last season coaching the Knicks.

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
